About Dr George H Northrup
Clinical Psychologist
Over the course of his career, Dr. Northrup has worked in hospitals,
outpatient clinics, public schools, and homeless shelters, as well as in
private practice.  He was involved for many years in training psychologists
at St. John’s University and at Schneider (now Cohen) Children’s Hospital,
part of North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Northrup’s wise, compassionate approach is well-respected by his
colleagues, who elected him President of the New York State Psychological
Association in 2009.  He continues to be actively involved in professional
affairs, with a special interest in promoting public access to mental health
care.
