Long experience has familiarized Dr. Northrup with the many ways in
which people surrender to fear and anxiety, remain stuck in unhappy
memories, repeat self-defeating behaviors, and forget how to love and be
loved.
As each person is unique, so each course of treatment reflects the
specific needs and preferences of those seeking his care. Dr. Northrup
is familiar with many types of psychotherapy; his only preference is for
approaches that effectively relieve suffering and promote well-being.
Dr. Northrup believes that large, impersonal settings do not provide the
optimal environment for psychotherapy. His office is quiet, comfortable,
and private.
